Customised system

Tritium has worked with many exotic electric vehicle technologies over the years and recognises that some of our potential customers want to utilise this leading edge technology in their vehicles.

Tritium has the capability to design customised powertrains using our electronics to control the power flow between these more exotic battery and motor technologies.

As part of the design process we model the predicted performance of the proposed electric vehicle.

The electric Civic shown above is an example of a customised system. It uses a prototype high efficiency high power density permanent magnet motor developed by Ultramotive Technologies to acheive exceptional efficiency and range.

We also have a technology portfolio that can be licensed to fast track your electric vehicle development program and provide competitive advantage in the market place. Please contact us to discuss how we can help.

Tritium products

Tritium specialises in designing electronic components for electric vehicles. A crucial electronic component in every electric vehicle is the motor controller. Tritium offers a high performance three phase motor controller that is capable of driving permanent magnet or induction AC motors. The WaveSculptor200 is characterised by its high power density, rich feature set, and competitive price.

Management of the cells within an electric vehicle battery pack is a safety critical task, which also extends battery lifetime. Our IQcell BMS is an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) that turns a string of cells into a safe and well managed battery pack, with a wealth of diagnostic information made available.

All our products communicate digitally over a Control Area Network (CAN). An interface between this network and the outside world is gained via our CAN-Ethernet bridge.

In order to simplify the integration of our systems into electric vehicles Tritium has released our open-source Driver Controls Interface.
